Miraculous Provision

After my first outing as a guest speaker in one of the churches in our city, that Sunday evening I took out the tenth from what I was given and put it in my tithe card to tithe the next Sunday. I asked the Lord to help me manage the remaining amount prudently. The next morning being Monday while observing my daily devotion, I heard a voice in my spirit just as plain as could be…..surrender all…. surrender all. I immediately went to where I kept the remaining amount and took the nineth and added to the tenth already in my tithe card ready to be tithed the next Sunday. I was discussing that outing with one of our elders and he said, ‘Pastor you have to tithe out of what they gave you’ In Grace of God Ministries, we do not joke with tithe, in fact that’s the secret of our prosperity. I replied him that I am not only tithing but that I was instructed to surrender all that I was blessed with to our ministry although I had planned to use the amount to liquidate a debt of almost six years. He was short of words over the telephone.

Any time God is talking to us concerning surrendering all, there is always a greater blessing ahead or miraculous provision on the way. For every voice of God we respond to affirmative, there is always something good out of it that cannot be quantified by our own imagination. My friend, as God was instructing me, He was also making great impression in the hearts of two Italian women who He used to bless me miraculously. What am I saying, that same week, God blessed me in an extra ordinary way. I received a financial favour from these two friends who were travelling for their holidays. When I calculated what I received as a result of obeying God’s voice it was seven times more than what I surrendered. This extra ordinary blessing would not have come my way if I had not released what’s in my hand. What a Jehovah-Jireh and Covenant Keeper we serve! Through this miracle I was able to pay off the debt of almost six years as well as other bills. God will always do exceedingly, abundantly more than our expectation. Glory to Him! It is my prayer that this season you will hear the voice of God clearly in the name of our Lord Jesus.

LESSON FROM THIS TESTIMONY

My miracle was in my own hand, so is yours. This reminds me of 2 Kings 4:1-7. It is amazing how Elisha used what was in the widow’s hand to pay her debt. Her husband had died, she could not pay her bills and her two sons were to be sold into slavery. Her condition was disastrous. She needed immediate intervention and asked Elisha what to do. Listen to the response of the man of God. “What do you have?” What she had was not something of value just oil. But he sent her out to borrow vessels to make provision for the increase she was about to receive.

God miraculously increased her oil and it did not stop flowing until she no longer had vessels to contain it. Then Elisha told her to sell the oil, pay her debts, and she and her sons could live off the rest. Her miracle was in her own hand just like mine. I pity people who do not give and tithe for the things of God. They are just sowing abject poverty that will affect them and their future generation. I pray that through this testimony people who do not like to give as well as release God’s legal portion (tithe) will begin to make a change and begin to enjoy the benefits that are connected to obeying the command of giving and doing whatever God says concerning our finance.

If you can remember, you will also see that it was what the widow of Zarephat had in her house that she gave to the Elijah that brought abundance to her and son during the famine period. God is to faithful to fail you and I. It is my prayer that as you sow that seed in your hand without looking back or listening to the voice of the enemy, favour you do not expect will come your way this summer holiday in the mighty name of Jesus. Living is giving. We live life best when we give ourselves, resources, our capabilities, and our time in service to others and in support of God’s work. If you spend your money on yourself, you are just surviving. But if you want your life to count, if you want to really live, leave a legacy for future generation please – give.

I have discovered an excitement in giving that is unique; I receive back something of even greater value. It is a great way to live life to the fullest. May this help you to listen to and do what God tells you in Jesus’ Name.

The Cancer Called Unforgiveness

I always use and give the illustration whenever I teach on the subject of forgiveness and this article is no exception. Anyone who refuses to forgive his  offender is like one holding somebody down and as long as you are holding the person, your whole body is bent and you cannot look up.

But the moment that fellow starts releasing his offender, he will be going higher, taller and be able to look up. As long as you are holding somebody down, you cannot know what is happening above you. Unforgiving people live a life of stagnancy.

When you look up you are looking from where help Can come from and that is from Almighty God. Unforgiveness can be defined as a spiritual poison. Many people ruin their health and their lives by taking such poison of bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness. It is the most popular poison that our enemy number one Satan uses against Christains, and it is one of the deadliest poison a person can take spiritually.

As a reader of this article, it is my prayer that God will use it to minister to you to release all your offenders in the mighty name of Jesus. The parable of the unforgiving servant is used by our Lord Jesus to reinforce the power and importance of the principle of forgiveness. (Matt. 18:23-35). In that parable, the certain king represents God, the Supreme father to whom the debt is owned.

The one who owned is a servant and represent the individual sinner. The servant that received forgiveness from his master lost it because of his unwillingness to forgive his fellow servant a debt of a hundred pence. Not forgiving his fellow servant put him in a life of staying in a spot wasting his time on litigation, a situation which made his master to become aware of how he refused to forgive his fellow servant.

From that moment the compassion and mercy the master had on him was withdrawn. If he had shown mercy to the other servant, he would have been moving forward and no way people would have seen him on that spot as to report him to his master. In this parable, such an unforgiving servant is called a wicked servant because no true believer would do such.

A truly saved man or woman would never behave like the man in the parable, who was delivered to the tormentors or torturers. Unforgiving people prove that they have never been born of God. The Bible makes it categorically clear that if we don't forgive others, we can not be forgiven, thereby blocking the ability of God to work in our lives.

I pray our sovereign father wll not nullify the forgiveness we have received from him in Jesus name. Why is unforgiveness worse than cancer? When a true believer in Christ is attacked by the terminal sickness (cancer), and eventually dies, the Lord will welcome the person home, but when a Christian does not forgive his offender and finally passed away with that bitternesss, he will not make heaven because heaven does not accept anybody that is defiled.

The command is forgive so that you will be forgiven. It is not negotiable. Hebrews 12:15 is clear on this: "looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled." Many christians think that the only way one can be defiled is through the sin of adultery or fornication. Capital "NO". Bitterness, anger, jealousy can defy a Christian fast if it is not immediately checked. As this can defile a whole body so it can destroy a whole ministry that is representing in the body of Christ.

It will also affect relationship with God thereby defiling the service you render to Him. Do you have a Journal were you keep records of people who offend you? The book or journal is obsolete, in business account there is a particular book called the book of Journal were entries are made. It only created confusion. It has only two columns, debit and credit. As time went by, it was discarded because the entries were becoming unaccountable and to ascertain profit was so hard. It was replaced with the followings: cashbook, ledger, trial balance, profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.

Through these books the business owner sees at a glance the worth of his business. Records are made simple. If human beings created by God could do away with such book why do you make you heart to be what mortal says it is not good, it is old fashion. It is my prayer that you will give this article a serious thought and take a step of faith to make this month a reconciliation period so that it shall be well with you, your family, work and ministry in the miraculous name of our Lord Jesus. Stay blessed.

The True Biblical Picture Of Faith In Jesus

Matthew 18:1-5 says,”At the time came the disciples unto Jesus saying, Who is the greatest in kingdom of heaven.
And Jesus called a little boy unto him, and set him in the midst of them. And said, verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.”
What brought about the illustration with a little child?
When on earth, the disciples quarreled among themselves about who is the greatest. People are always concerned about being “top dog” in the group and indeed , in heaven, the disciples want a “formula” for guaranteeing success. Not just interested in “getting” into heaven, but actually being the greatest, they again lost focus on humility and the spiritual equality that exist for all who accept Jesus as the Messiah.

As their Master He already knew what was happening before they tabled the matter before Him. It’s like Jesus was saying to them “adesso basta” Jesus uses a little child to illustrate the type of humility required to believe in Him.

Children are embodiment of humble faith in Jesus. The teaching presents an image of both innocence and vulnerability, the child becomes the perfect picture of true humility. Humility that means he is totally dependent on others for his sustenance, safty, learning, affection - indeed, his very life.
Here Jesus points to the real issue of human existence. Not so much, who is the greatest in the kingdom but who is even in the kingdom in the first place. It is thus, a salvation issue that Jesus presents before them, and the humility attitude of total dependence on the Father’s provisions and the Son’s fulfillment of the plan of redemption.

So the dispute over who is the greatest was settled by Jesus' illustration or examplification that it was the one who was willing to forgive the most. And this is the true Biblical picture of conversion. To become as little children means to be born again as a new spiritual child, characterised by faith and humility.

The little child represents new convert or young believer. To receive such a fellow believer is to welcome Jesus Himself . Offending and misunderstanding each other are realities in the present world but how do you resolve such situation when it arises.

Do you easily forgive as children do? Parents how are you nurturing your kids who will accept Jesus tomorrow? Let me give you some Bible verses to challenge you about raising children:
1. All good parenting begins with a fear of the Lord. Provb 14:26.
2. Fathers, make sure that God is at the centre of your family. Josh 24:15.
3. The job of a father is to teach his children biblical wisdom at all times. Deut 6:6-9.
4. Talk to your kids about the Bible and help them to learn scripture. Use scripture as the basis for your parenting. 2 Tim 3:16-17.
5. Teach your children wisdom and they will bring you joy. Provb 23:24.
6. The way you lead your life can be a blessing to your kids. Lead a godly life. Provb 20:7.
7. Your choices and actions will impact your kids and future generations. Ex 34:6-7.
8. A good father disciplines his son out of love and with love. Provb 3:11-12.
9. Parenting is a temporary stewardship. Marriage is for life. The best thing you can do for your kids is to be a good husband. Gen 2:24.
10. God cares about the relationship between fathers and their children. Malachi 4:6.
Jesus then puts the idea of "greatest" in its right perspective. All "enter" on the same terms and and all exist in heaven in the same light.

There is no inequality in heaven, but perfect equality through total trust christ. I pray we will begin to clothe ourselves with the attitude of humility and put the enemy into everlasting shame in the name of the Lord Jesus.

It is my prayer that the Almighty God will enable you to take care of your children thereby living a legacy for future generation. I pray as you travel to enjoy your holiday that the Lord will complete your journey in perfect peace and safety in the name of Jesus. Stay blessed.

God's Voice

First Samuel 3:8-10 says “And the Lord called Samuel again the third time and he arose and went to Eli, and said, here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shall say, Speak, LORD, for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.”

It was on the third Sunday of October 2012 that we were to do the inauguration of our ministry. In fact, the Body of the elders had agreed that it would be done on that 3rd Sunday of October while our Harvest/thanksgiving would come up either on the last Sunday of November or 1st Sunday of December 2012. I was pondering over these two great events and wondering how we would execute them considering the finance that is the force behind their success, when one of the elders called me and when we met and weighed things we eventually withdrew from carrying it out as discussed in the elders’ meeting. When I later drew the attention of the other elders on the sudden change they all bought the idea. I look back now after 2 months and 2 weeks we had our harvest/thanksgiving; I know that God helped us to avoid rushing things we could not afford. The leading of the Holy Spirit is an example of how God personally leads us as His children. It is my prayer that this year you will take time to hear from the Lord before you act in His mighty name.

Accessing God’s grace and voice may include slowing down and giving Him our full attention without distractions. God spoke to Samuel, but he did not know how to listen to God yet, although the era was when God still gave direct audible messages to His people, such messages became rare in the days of Eli. Why? Because of the attitude of Eli’s sons. They either refused to listen to God or allowed greed to get in the way of any communication with God. Discerning the voice of God is one of the most important skills in our spiritual lives.

If we don’t listen to God, then we can make the wrong decisions and run ahead of God’s timing. King Saul is someone who failed to inquire of God according to 1 Chronicles 13:3, and his life took a downward spiral. May you and I never be like him in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus. In a time of battle, however, David was diligent to check in with God and ask not only what decision to make but also how to execute the plan (1 Chron 14:8-17). The Bible has three “God is” statements: GOD IS LOVE (1 John 4:16), “GOD IS LIGHT” (1 John 1:5) and GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE (Heb 12:28-29). These positive attributes of our Creator are worth taking time to reflect on today. In what ways do these three attributes point us to His grace? How do these descriptions of God encourage us to listen closely to Him?

Ways God Speaks

God personally speaks to us through His Word (Bible).

God also speaks thru His Spirit, teaching, rebuking and giving insight and direction,

God talks through believers to this effect surround yourself with wise people who can speak truth into your life.

God speaks through circumstances.

He speaks through nature, dreams, and even angels to bring you His message.

ELI ADVICE FOR LISTENING TO GOD

Be still: Eli told Samuel “Go and lie down” Psalm 46:10 also tells us to be still and know that He is God. So be still. Turn off interruptions like your phone, computer and your television and begin to tune into God. Separate yourself from the crowd.

Be patient: Eli added the phrase “….And if He calls you” Don’t try to force it or pretend like God is speaking if He is not telling you anything. Job said that there are times when we don’t hear His direction (Job 23:8-10). Don’t be discouraged. God knows when He wants to speak.

Be open: Eli explained “Say, Speak, for your servant is listening” Don’t just say this phrase, mean it. This phrase tells God that you desire His direction, and it also communicates that you are humble before Him. You truly want to do whatever He says. You are listening as a servant.

When you hear His voice, act on it because He is leading you with grace and wisdom.Although God may not use the sound of a human voice, He speaks just as clearly today through His Word. To receive His message, we must be ready to listen and to act upon what he tells us. Like Samuel, be ready to say Speak, for Your servant hears” when God calls you to action. It’s my prayer that before you execute your plan this year that you will carry it to God and hear from Him before making any move. It shall be well with you as you stay connected to Him.

Jesus Restores

The Gospel of Mark 3:14-15 says, “And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils”

When our Lord chose the twelve disciples, He had a special intention that means, those disciples were supposed to play double role: to be with Jesus always in His ministry (accompany Him or escort Him to wherever His ministry would take Him) and to be sent out with authority to preach, to heal and to cast out demons. In Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus reaffirming this role, the task of going to the four corners of the world to reach out to the dying souls, and the duty of baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach as well.

The Lord wanted His disciples to be committed functioning members of His ministry by being with Him not only in times of comforts (miracles of water to wine, feeding of the multitude) but even in times of trials and ordeals. Jesus wanted their relationship with Him go deeper and stronger. And for this to happen love would that keeps it alive. (John 13:31-34). The love they would show to themselves and others would portray them as His followers. The twelve proved themselves worthy for their calling. But during the weak moments, they are seen wavering and getting out of line from the Lord.

CHRISTIANITY IS NOT BED OF ROSES

You remember how Peter let his net, which was very vital for his livelihood to follow Jesus (Matthew 4:18-20). But at the critical time the Lord needed him, Peter openly denied Him three times. By so doing he lost his apostleship. He lost his position as one of the twelve. (Luke 22:54-64). In John 21:15-19 after the Lord came out from the grave, He appeared to the twelve and opened up agape type of discussion with Peter, and asked Peter whether he loved Him. The first time He told Simon Peter to feed His lamb. We must grow from being lamb to sheep. We must keep growing and move to maturity where we desire the solid food and no longer milk. The second time the Lord said to Peter, feed my sheep. The same He said the third time feed my sheep. What the Lord did was to re-instate Peter into the apostle fold. This was possible because when Peter denied the Lord the Bible says, in Matthew 26:75 that he wept bitterly. So his true repentance made Christ, the compassionate, to forgive him of his iniquity and lifting the charge or accusation on him. After this incident, Simon Peter is seen as firm as a rock in his faith towards Jesus and powerful in his mission (Acts 2:14,). From that moment every time Peter opened his mouth to preach the gospel, souls were won in thousands. Are you backsliding in your Christian race or you lost something dear to you, the Lord that is still in the business of restoration will restore all that you have lost in His mighty name. The privilege of entering into heaven is for all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ (Mark 16:16, Romans 10:9). As long as one who has backslidden can pick up courage again in the Lord’s service, he or she can be forgiven.

URGENT QUESTIONS

Let us examine ourselves with these urgent questions:

In conclusion, I want us to learn some things from the fall of Peter which can prevent us from falling. We must not be over confidence. We must spend much time in prayer. Know the true enemy of our warfare. Be fully committed to the Kingdom work. We should strive to grow up to the perfection of God and fullness of Christ the head (Matthew 5:48). Those who endure till the end will be saved (Matthew 10:22). It is my prayer that the Lord will increase us and restore all that we have lost in His precious Name.

Run With Deligence

Sep 2013

It is wrong for the mechanic to start a job without the right instruments. Without a jack of the proper weight rating a mechanic could suffer serious injury. The carpenter would never climb on a ladder that is unstable or try to overreach on a ladder that is too short for the job.

Again serious injury could result. The runner and the footballer would never start on a footrace or playing without the most durable and comfortable running and playing shoes.

Our work for God is the most important endeavour we will ever undertake. The Bible likens our walk with God to the job of a builder: “Whosever cometh to me, and heareth sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock” (Luke 6:47-48).

This parable speaks to the fact that storms are bound to arise in our life, but if we are properly equipped we can weather the storm. I pray you and I will not lose our staying power in Jesus’name. The Bible says in Isaiah 59:19 “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him”.  Believers are equipped by the Spirit of the Lord.We are equipped by the Word. Let the Word grow mightily and prevail in your life as it did in Bible days.

We are likened to a runner in Hebrews: “Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience he race that is set before us.” It is my prayer that we shall not be lose focus in this unusual race in the name of our Lord Jesus. We are equipped with the power that is in the name of Jesus.

The rest of that statement says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). Our equipment comes from the Heavenly  world not from a retail establishment. Just as verse one of Hebrews twelve established some qualities for the entrance into and the actual running of  life’s race, so verse two directs one’s eyes to the finish line.

Jesus is the author and finisher in that He has already blazed the trail and finished the course. Now is the time to look to Jesus – honour that  name, lift Him above all names. For He is the one and only one who died for our sins to redeem us by His precious blood. Believers must   continually serve Him telling the world about Jesus.

Love one Another

OCT 2013

In 1 John 3:14-15 says, “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.  He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”

We are told in Hebrews 13:1 that we should let brotherly love continue.  It should be the desire of every believer to radiate the love of Christ. It becomes binding on us to love one another. Love is the oxygen of the Christian life. Love binds believers together. Where there is no love the power of darkness is in control. May it not be our portion in the name of our Lord Jesus.

First John 3:14-15 - death and life here symbolize unbelief and saving faith.  A murderer (one whose heart is full of hate or even destructive apathy) can, of course, be forgiven of such sin – but one who is truly forgiven will no longer abide in his murderous nature. It has been said that the only mark of Christians that unbelievers can understand is the mark of love (Matthew 13:34-25). Jesus spoke of such love when He said, “But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you” (Luke 6:27-28). God’s Word places a high value on loving the brethren. Christ’s love demands our love as well. It is a holy love that can come only from God.

This command reaches out to those who may even do us bodily harm. We are told, “And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other” (Luke 6:29). It is one thing to love those who are one in Christ with you. It is another thing, however, to love those who despise you and say evil things against you. Apostle Paul strongly emphasises that the most excellent gift is love. To love is not always easy. But the gift to do that is a transforming gift. Agape love is not only the gift to love the unlovable, but often it is the love that transforms those who are not very lovable into loving people.

EXTRA MILE – JESUS PERFECT EXAMPLE

Jesus is our perfect example when it comes to forgiving one’s enemies. Those who hated Him carried out their cruel treatment of Him. They placed a crown of thorns on His head; they smote Him with a reed; they spat on Him; they mocked Him; and finally, they crucified Him. But on the cross, He cried out, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34).

Love should not be limited to those we know it should be universal. We should love one another with an open heart. As we come together and we are opened hearted to one another when we pray God will intervene. God says where two or three are in His name, He will be there. If we gather and our hearts are not opened, if we do not forgive one another, how do we think God can come? He has said forgive. The command is non negotiable.

WHAT ARE WE TO DO?

Don’t allow bitterness and unforgiveness in your life. Do not allow anybody to hold onto your blessing. Offences will come but be bigger than them. As you are forgiving your offender, you are serving our Lord Jesus in spirit and in truth, because service to mankind is service to God. How? When you forgive your offender, you are a merciful person. Jesus said, For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? ………and the king shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me (Matthew 25:35-40). Let that spirit of love bind us together in Jesus Name. Stay blessed.

God of the Eleventh Hour

NOV 2013

“And about the eleventh hour He went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, why stand ye here all the day idle?” (Matthew 20:6).

Without the mercy of God we cannot receive anything from Him. It is His mercy that compels Him to bless us (Psalm 89:14).

We are in the eleventh month of the year. I call November the month of mercy and favour, based on Matthew 20:6.  If you read verses 9 and 10 of the same chapter the labourers who worked from the beginning and the ones that were hired at the eleventh hour received equal amount.  The later labourers enjoyed what I tag as “favour beyond their labour.” That is your portion the remaining days of this year in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus.

It is possible that when you examine your agenda on all you have mapped out to achieve this year that you are nowhere to be found, it may be that your condition is pitiable, remember you serve the God of the eleventh hour. It is the favour factor of God’s plan that turns failure into success, sorrow into joy, and raise up the poor out of the dust, and lifted up the beggar from the dunghill to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory (1 Samuel 2:8). It is my prayer that the God of the eleventh hour will appear in your situation in the name of our Lord Jesus.

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 7:8 that, “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof”. Friends, this is a call on all who have suffered one form of failure or the other since this 2013 began to join us in The Grace of God Ministries in returning back to God, to pray and ask for His delivering mercy to rescue us from conditions and situations and principalities which are stronger than us. This kind of call is not for the comfortable and contented, it is a call to those who hunger and thirst, who are yearning for Jesus Christ, the Bread of life and the Living water. We must keep lifting our cup to Him to fill it up until we thirst no more.

WHAT TO DO?

If you want to recover and overtake whatever Satan and the demon spirits who obey him have stolen from you since the beginning of the year, then you must first turn to the God of the eleventh hour. Nothing is too late for Him, He can bring you up from the deepest pit and carry you with electrifying speed to the highest peak, if you can cry for His mercy and for His forgiveness and be committed and devoted to serving Him. I pray that the mercy of God will find you out and help you at the point of your hopelessness in Jesus’ Name.

Are you a barren woman, and you want your season of fruitfulness to be this month of November, this message is for you. Are you under attack because of your rebellious child and you want God to answer you as He answered the prodigal son’s father, this message is for you. Are you a businessman or woman, and you need speed to accomplish impossible targets before the end of this year, this message is for you. If you have been an applicant looking for employment or engagement, this message is for you. Or your health is failing you and you need the healing hand of God, this message is for you. I pray the Holy Spirit will destroy the power of delayed blessings in your life in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus.

Just humble yourself before God and ask Him to forgive you for allowing the devil and his agents to steal your blessing. Ask Him to forgive your carelessness that gave the enemy chance to your present disgusting or horrible situation. Ask Him to come and turn your defeat into miraculous victory. Ask Him to restore your lost opportunities and favour your life. It is my prayer that your glory will rise up from the valley of shame and locate you in the name of our Lord Jesus. Continue to stay connected to Him!

Who is that Baby in the Manger?

DEC 2013

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged out sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3).

Christ’s person, power, and position are all expressed in the above verse. He is described as being the brightness of God’s glory. He did not become deity; He always was equal with the Father. He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high when He returned to heaven because His work of salvation was done. Nothing absolutely nothing can be added to the work Jesus Christ fulfilled on the cross.

When it comes to salvation, there is no room for self-cleansing, for atonement, or for human credit or merit. God is fully pleased with the sacrifice of his Son. That is why until you and I come to the end of our striving and trust in him, we can never be saved.Who is that Baby in the manger? Let us pay proper attention to our text from Hebrews. He is the Heir of all things. He is the Creator of the universe. He is Radiance of God’s Glory. He is the Sustainer of All things. He is our Saviour. He is now seated at God’s Right Hand. That’s who Jesus is.

Who is Jesus to You?

Names mean things in the Bible. To the architect the Baby in the manger is the chief cornerstone. To the banker He is the hidden treasure. To the baker He is the living bread. To the builder He is the sure foundation. To the doctor He is the great physician. Tot the educator He is the master teacher. To the farmer He is the Lord of the harvest. To the florist He is the lily of the valley and the rose of Sharon. To the geologist He is the rock of ages. Jesus is the A – Z (Alpha and Omega). But who is Jesus to you? Do you know Him? Do you know this Jesus I am talking about?

Is He your Saviour?

As we come close to the end of 2013, I want to encourage you to take a time off from your busy schedule to think carefully about who Jesus really is. It is traditional to give gifts at Christmas and New Year, just as you give gifts to your loved ones, God is offering you a gift as well: the gift of complete forgiveness, freedom from sin, and eternal life with Him in heaven. Just like you must accept the season’s gift for it to be yours, you must accept God’s gift of salvation.

Now is the time for you to make up your mind and be serious with Jesus. What you believe about the Baby in the manger is a life and death matter with eternal implications. Don’t let the year pass before you take this crucial decision to know where He came from? Why was He born? And what difference does His coming again make to you?  Find out for yourself what the Bible says concerning Him. If what the scriptures said is true, make this time a time to get to know Him better. If you will truly seek to know God, you will eventually be led by the Holy Spirit to Jesus Christ (John 6:44).

All that God has to say to us can be wrapped up in one word: “Jesus” (the greatest gift to the world). He alone is the Lord from heaven. He alone can save us. All that God has for you and I is wrapped up in His Son. Life without Him is full of crisis. Stay connected to Him. I wish you a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
